Kasper Rasmussen is Associate Professor in the Computer Science Department. He joined the University of Oxford in 2013 and in 2015 was awarded a University Research Fellowship from the Royal Society in London. Kasper did his Ph.D. at ETH Zurich where he worked mainly on security protocols relating to secure time synchronization and secure localization with a particular focus on distance bounding. After completing his Ph.D., Kasper did a post-doc at the University of California, Irvine, before moving to Oxford.

Kasper’s current research is focused around analysis and design of security protocols, often (but not necessarily) in the domain of embedded systems.
