High Sheriff of Oxfordshire 2019/20

Lady Sylvia Jay is the High Sheriff of Oxfordshire 2019/20.

She is a former civil servant and former director general of the Food and Drink Federation. She has also been a non-Executive Director of Alcatel Lucent, Lazard Limited, the French company Saint-Gobain, and The Body Shop. She was also Chair of the Pilgrim Trust, a Trustee of The Body Shop Foundation, a Trustee of the Prison Reform Trust, and a Trustee of the Entente Cordiale Scholarships Scheme.

Lady Jay was Chair of L’Oréal UK and Ireland when she delivered the 2011 Bynum Tudor Lecture Learning and development in the public and private sectors: is there a difference?.
