Dr Nikki Newhouse

Nikki is a qualitative researcher in the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences where she is a member of the IRIHS research group and the DECIDE rapid evaluation centre, focusing on the evaluation of technology-enabled remote monitoring in health and care. Currently, Nikki is leading work exploring the role of remote monitoring in the COPD care pathway. Having moved from a career in publishing to completing a PhD in human-computer interaction at UCL, Nikki’s work is guided by a background in psychology, philosophy and computer science and is human-centred and interdisciplinary in nature. In addition, Nikki has extensive teaching and supervisory experience and is a qualified coach and mentor. She is also a qualified cognitive behavioural therapist.
