BSc (hons) Heritage Conservation – Bournemouth University

Peter’s career has been centred around historic building conservation having worked in English Heritage,  Local Government, Diocese of London and then the Churches Conservation Trust where he was the Chief Executive.

He has a particular interest in how historic buildings can serve contemporary society. Peter invented Champing™ . His role at the Charterhouse is a living embodiment of his interests .

Peter is a Non Executive Lay Member (Canon) of the Chapter of St Paul’s Cathedral, trustee of the Heritage Alliance, Goodwill Solutions and a Council Member of the Future for Religious Heritage. He was awarded an OBE for services to heritage in 2023.
