Peter’s career has been centred around historic building conservation having worked in English Heritage, Local Government, Diocese of London and then the Churches Conservation Trust where I was the Chief Executive.
He has a particular interest in how historic buildings can serve contemporary society. Peter invented Champing™ . His role at the Charterhouse is a living embodiment of my interest.
Peter is a Non Executive Lay Member (Canon) of the Chapter of St Paul’s Cathedral, trustee of the Heritage Alliance, Goodwill Solutions and a Council Member of the Future for Religious Heritage. He was awarded an OBE for services to heritage in 2023.
