Sir Dermot Turing

Sir Dermot Turing is an author and lawyer. For 15 years he was a partner at Clifford Chance LLP, specialising in financial services regulation, insolvent banks, and post-trade issues. He is the author of Clearing and Settlement and continues to comment and write on systemic stability issues arising in financial crises. He is also author of Prof – Alan Turing decoded, a biography of his illustrious uncle, and X, Y and Z – the real story of how Enigma was broken, which reveals the roles of Poland and France in the breaking of the German Enigma cipher machine before World War Two, and how they provided the foundation for Bletchley Park’s success. Dermot Turing is a trustee of Bletchley Park and of the Turing Trust.
