Dr Yao Jiang

Yao is a postdoctoral researcher in the Soft Tissue Joint Disease Group at the University of Oxford. He obtained his PhD degree from the Peking Union Medical College, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences where he focused on targeting drug delivery system construction. He joined the University of Oxford in 2022 in NDCLS before moving to NDORMS in 2024. His current research focus on knee arthrofibrosis which is a condition whereby scar tissue prevents normal knee motion. The aim of this project is to dissect the cellular & molecular mechanisms underpinning resolving and persistent forms
of arthrofibrosis.
