Dr Eeshani Bendale (DPhil Evidence Based Health Care, 2025) has been selected as a participant for the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women, marking her third time taking part in the global forum.

CSW70 will take place at United Nations Headquarters in New York from 9 to 19 March 2026. The annual gathering brings together governments, policymakers and civil society leaders from across the world to advance gender equality. This year’s priority theme focuses on strengthening access to justice for all women and girls and addressing structural barriers to equality.

Eeshani brings perspectives shaped by frontline healthcare experience and by working within systems where gender, access and equity intersect in tangible ways.

Eeshani BendaleEeshani said:

“I am honoured to have been selected as a UN Women UK participant for CSW70, marking my third time participating in the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women. As an Ayurvedic Physician from India, I look forward to bringing perspectives shaped by frontline healthcare experiences and by working within systems where gender, access and equity intersect in tangible ways.”

During her time in Oxford, she has also contributed to wider conversations on global feminism and justice. Last year, she moderated a panel at the Oxford Union titled Has Western Feminism Failed the Global South?”, engaging with questions of representation, power and global solidarity in feminist movements.

Kellogg College warmly congratulates Eeshani on this achievement and looks forward to following her contribution to CSW70 as part of the international effort to strengthen justice and equality for women and girls worldwide.
