LGBT+ History Month Lecture - watch the film
‘When we look at battles we won as an LGBT+ community and those we are still fighting we often forget that blatant racism, homophobia and transphobia are within living memory.’
This year’s LGBT+ History month Lecture was delivered by Łukasz Konieczka, Executive Director Mosaic LGBT+ Young Persons’ Trust This joint lecture with Oxford University’s LGBTQ+ Society examined the importance of the intergenerational dialogue for community cohesion and the role psychological safety plays when such events spark to life.
Łukasz reflects upon his experiences as a professional working with young LGBT+ persons on their intergenerational work, the ups and the downs and everything in between, and explores events in LGBT+ history that young LGBT+ persons are oblivious to and some that are perhaps more recent that older LGBT+ persons find confusing.
Łukasz was introduced by Kellogg LGBT+ Fellow Dr Max Van Kleek
