Punting season is around the corner

With the return of longer days and warmer weather, punting season is almost here.

As Kenneth Grahame wrote in children’s classic The Wind in the Willows: “Believe me, my young friend, there is nothing – absolutely nothing – half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats.”

Kellogg College provides a punt for complimentary use by college members. Punting is a quintessential part of the Oxford experience, so do try your skills at navigating the river. It’s a fantastic way to de-stress, immersing yourself in nature. The College punt is moored at The Cherwell Boathouse, on the river Cherwell, just north of college.

Bookings for the new season will open from the 1 March, for reservations starting 16 March. This year, the punt will be available to book until 20 October, and reservations can be made no more than 17 days in advance.
