Dr Geng Liu

Dr Geng Liu did his PhD in cancer biology at the University of Dundee before coming to Oxford as a postdoc in Prof Nick La Thangue’s group. Geng’s research focuses on the post-tralslational modifications (acetylation, methylation, ubiquitination, etc.) on key transcription factors, such as E2F1 and p53, in regulating cell cycle and apoptosis in cancer. He is also interested in exploring the molecular mechanisms of PRMT and HDAC inhibitors as cancer therapies and other clinical applications
