Dr Isabelle Lorge

Dr Isabelle Lorge completed her PhD in Theoretical and Applied Linguistics at the University of Cambridge, where she studied pragmatic inferences for word learning in bilingual and monolingual children. During her studies, she turned her interests towards Natural Language Processing and spent two years developing novel NLP models for financial applications in industry. She subsequently worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Engineering at Oxford with Professor Janet Pierrehumbert on semantic composition and social media polarisation. She is now a Research Scientist in the Department of Psychiatry investigating Natural Language Processing methods to assist mental health triaging in primary and secondary care with Dr Andrey Kormilitzin.
