Enjoy all that Oxford has to offer

Kellogg College invites all participants to take part in Oxford College life, with all events provided at no additional cost.  

Social activities include: 

  • Welcome drinks reception 
  • Guided walking tour of some of Oxford’s colleges 
  • Chauffeured punting in the college punt, leaving from Cherwell Boathouse 
  • Day excursion to Bletchley Park, the birthplace of modern computing 
  • Black-tie College Formal 
  • Farewell drinks reception and presentation of participation certificates 

Day Excursion: Explore Bletchley Park 

At the end of the week, you will take an excursion to Bletchley Park, the epicentre of Allied codebreaking during World War II and the birthplace of modern computing. Kellogg College has historic connections to key figures in codebreaking and early pioneers of AI, like Alan Turing and Donald Michie.  

As well as discovering the incredible achievements of Britain’s World War Two Codebreakers, the guided tour will unveil to participants the origins of computing, showcasing The Colossus, the world’s first programmable electronic digital computer, at The National Museum of Computing. This exclusive excursion offers a unique opportunity to witness history’s intersection with innovation, providing invaluable insights for your AI exploration. 

A packed lunch will be provided for participants to bring along to the excursion.
